The Bengals have placed DeDe Dorsey, Eric Ghiaciuc and Madieu Williams on the season-ending injury reserve list. Rudi Johnson will not play and Dexter Jackson is doubtful.
The team has signed RB Quincy Wilson who has played for the Bengals before. And because of all of the injuries, the team will start their two rookie safeties, Marvin White and Chinedum Ndukwe. This will be a good opportunity to see what they can do.
The Bengals have been banged up all year and are facing the team that will have the first pick in next year’s draft. Still, the Dolphins have hung in and kept several games close and as we’ve all seen this season, no game is a given. The Bengals have been up and down all year but it would be nice to end the season with a win.

Anyone that watched last week’s Monday Night game saw that the field conditions at Heinz Field were awful. They had placed new sod over old sod and then it rained on them.
Well, it has rained more and there is a good chance it’s going to rain tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t be as bad as last week and we’ll see more than 3 points the whole night. But if it has to be 3-0, I hope it’s the Bengals that have 3.

There may be a lot of players missing from the game this weekend. For the Bengals, Willie Anderson, Ahmad Brooks and Caleb Miller are out. Reggie Kelly, Anthony Schlegel and John Thornton are all doubtful. For the Ravens, Samari Rolle is out and Chris McAlister, Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs are all doubtful. Defensively, this could be a game of backups.
For the Bengals, the good news is that Chad Johnson looks like he’ll play and Chris Henry will get his first action of the season (stay out of trouble Chris!). Rudi Johnson is another week healthier and hopefully he and Kenny Watson can combine to do better than last week. It couldn’t really get much worse though, last week was horrible.
Offensively, both teams are fairly healthy. Todd Heap is probable so both teams could be without their starting tight ends. With the Ravens defense hurting and Chris Henry’s return, the offense could click more than it has the past few weeks.
The Bengals’ playoffs hopes are pretty much dead and the Ravens aren’t playing well either. But it’s always nice to sweep someone in your division, especially when it’s the Ravens. Why not make them as miserable as us huh? Like I said before, it’s all for pride now so I hope the team finishes the season strong and builds something for next year. Wow, I’m already saying “wait ’til next year”. I’m starting to feel like a Cubs fan.

The Bengals play the Bills this weekend and really need a win to have any chance at the playoffs. It’s a game they should win but both teams aren’t playing well. To turn this season around, the Bengals need to win almost every week anyway.
The Bills defense is improving and the offense is ok. Losman will be back at QB so Lee Evans should get more production. But Rudi will be back for the Bengals and they’ll still use Kenny Watson while they work Rudi back into things.
The defense needs to play better as usual but the offense should be able to score some points. The key will be scoring more points than the defense can give up. It probably shouldn’t be a close game but I think it will be and I think the Bengals can pull out a win.

The Steelers come to town today and bring a chance for the Bengals to get back into things with them. A win today would put the Bengals just one game back from the Steelers in total record. But it would also be a great boost since the Steelers are one of the better teams in the league this year. They haven’t looked great in every game they’ve played but they’ve been good enough to be 4-2.
The Bengals will be without some players because of injury again but they’re surely getting used to that by now. Hopefully Kenny Watson can step up again and be a force in the running game.
On defense, the Bengals need to slow down Fast Willie Parker and prevent the Steelers’ passing attack from getting the long plays. Easier said than done, I know. Especially with the Bengals’ defense.
On offense, the passing game needs to be effective and keep the turnovers down. It should be a good game and will be even better (for Bengals’ fans anyway) if the Bengals can find a way to win.

On paper, it doesn’t look like a big game at all. The Jets are 1-5 and just not playing well. And we all know the Bengals aren’t playing well. But if the team is going to do anything to try and save this season, it’s got to start with a win this weekend.
Sure, it’s possible that the Bengals can win out and some other teams can lose several times. It’s not likely but stranger things have happened. But the fans are getting tired of the losing and I’m sure the players are as well. Even with the injuries, they still have too much talent to have this terrible record.
Hopefully some players will be back from injury and Johnathan Joseph will be back from his one game suspension. The offense is doing ok and Chris Henry is back in two weeks. So if they’re going to turn things around, it has to start now.
A loss to the Jets would surely end any hope for the playoffs and then the team would just be playing for pride. They haven’t shown that much so far this year but I’m hoping they’ll step up and show us something.

Tonight’s game will definitely be a tough one. The defense is banged up and isn’t playing well anyway. The special teams is terrible and Rudi is out. So how can the Bengals possibly win?
The answer is…..who knows. The Bengals passing attack might just light up New England for plenty of scores. The defense could actually step up and cause some fumbles or interceptions. And maybe, just maybe, the special teams will get a few good returns and keep the Pats from getting good ones of their own.
The point is, it might take a lot for the Bengals to pull this one out but they still have talent. If this were decided on paper, it would probably be over. But this is why they play the games. I wish the team luck and I hope they can bring home a win and get back to .500.

The Bengals have listed both Ahmad Brooks and Caleb Miller as doubtful for the Monday night game against the Patriots. These are the top two middle linebackers for the team this season.
With Rudi Johnson already out, things just keep getting worse. The Bengals are going to need all the help they can get against this Patriots offense but you never know. I’m hoping guys step it up and bring home a win.
It was already going to be a tough matchup but with these guys sitting it out, it just makes it tougher.
